Some members of the team at Shaftesbury Theatre enjoying their well earned pizza having won Realtime’s monthly safety league. Well done to all involved for their hard work and commitment to safety. The works at the theatre are now drawing to a close.

The works involved the installation of a Grade 3 basement along both Princess Circus and High Holborn elevations to provide the Shaftsbury Theatre with a new bar area, toilets, storage and plant areas. The works involved sheet piling of the perimeter, underpinning of the existing foundation, drainage, reinforced concrete including a visual concrete soffit and hard landscaping works, all while keeping the theatre open to staff and patrons

Additional works included the lowering of the rear auditorium and the creation of 3 access portals to the existing structure.
